Facial Gua Sha Lessons

FACIAL GUA SHA

Facial gua sha is a relaxing, rejuvenating method of facial massage with the assistance of a stone gua sha tool. This beauty ritual originates from the Qing Dynasty while the practice of gua sha is a Chinese Medical technique that predates acupuncture. Facial gua sha lifts and sculpts the skin, relaxes the muscles of the face in order to prevent fine lines. It is also effective in addressing tension headaches sinus issues and/or jaw tightness.

You can now purchase a pre-recorded facial gua sha class. This class is includes information on gua sha, facial gua sha, safety concerns, a facial gua sha routine and product recommendations. This class is meant to help us all honor ourselves as kind and mindful beings while reducing the harmful commodification of this practice.

If you would like a facial gua sha treatment, please book a facial acupuncture session. For in-person facials please find more information here.

*Facial Gua Sha is not appropriate for those who have had facial surgery, fillers or injections in the last 6 months. For those experiencing a cystic acne break out, it is recommended that you book a series of LED facial treatments before trying other facial treatments. Cultural appropriation and commodification is harmful to entire communities.
